IKEA Linnmon Desk Review for 2021 Home Office

Back in December I took a day trip with Kevin to IKEA Charlotte to pick up a few items for the new home office I made. One of those items included an IKEA Linnmon Table Top. In fact, I picked up 3 of them. Two white and one black. You can also see the pegboard from IKEA in the picture below. Right now I’m just putting this space together so I’m not quite sure what it will eventually look like.

Because there were no white or black ADILS legs in stock at the IKEA Charlotte in December 2020, this table top sat idle against a wall in my home office. I decided to take a chance and buy the Kullavik legs from Amazon. The reviews said this is a great alternative to the IKEA ADILS legs and that the plates at the bottom perfectly match up to the 5 pre-drilled holes in the table. The legs come with wood screws and a bullet-bolt to drive into the plat and twist the legs into. The assembly was very easy and straight forward.

Once the legs are put together, the table should look like the photo below. Now, caution…when your turn this table over to put the legs on, make sure you have a towel or drop cloth on the floor. Why? Because this is an easily scratched white table! The exterior shell of this is plasticky and the inside is filled with cardboard paper in a honeycomb pattern. If you want something that is ultra durable and can withstand heavy usage, sorry dawg, this ain’t it!

I knew what I was getting myself into before I bought this. Just think of what the white aesthetic will look like once everything comes together in this space (haha)!
