Pan Axis Balance
Unlock the Pan Axis by sliding the lock button up.
Loosen the Pan Axis latch. This will allow the Pan Axis ruler to slide more inward or outward from the latching base.
Make a general adjustment and lock it in by locking the Pan Axis latch. This adjustment most likely won’t be right for balancing but for now, we are only concerned with determining how much the camera will swing and be out of balance.
While holding the base of the gimbal, tilt the gimbal to the left or right and observe if the pan axis stays still OR if the camera swings in the direction you tilt it. If the camera quickly swings in the tilted direction, a sizable adjustment is needed in the opposite direction.
Remember, when you’re close to being balanced, less is more. When pushing the Pan Axis inward or outward from the latching base, make micro-adjustments.
