Roll Axis Balance

  1. Unlock the Roll Axis by sliding the lock switch seen in circle 1.

  2. Unlocked the Quick Release Plate Leveling Base Latch as seen in circle 2. This will allow the quick-release plate to move.

  3. Move the camera to the right or left until you find the spot where it can stay still and horizontal to the ground. Circle 3 shows the direction in which the quick-release plate can move.

Note: You may need to lock in your adjustment to keep it from sliding.

  4. Observe if the camera is horizontal to the ground by comparing it to the locked Roll Axis Balance position.

  5. Lock the Quick Release Plate Leveling Base Latch as seen in circle 5.

What Does Balanced Look Like on the Roll Axis?

When your camera is balanced on the Roll Axis, it should look the same as when the axis is locked. The camera is balanced and doesn’t tilt left or right.

When you spin the camera in any position, it should stay balanced in that position.
